What are RealMoneyPlan Financial Plan templates?
RealMoneyPlan Financial Plans are excel spreadsheet templates designed to enable you to prepare your own detailed and realistic financial plan. We provide a choice of templates to suit anyone or any family, including basic, personal, family and advanced editions. We also provide a free easy budget template to enable you to prepare a one year monthly budget.
All plans allow you to prepare your financial plan, track your actual finances to the plan, and refine your plan as desired. The plans can also be easily modified to suit your personal needs.
What is included in the financial plans?
Each RealMoneyPlan Financial Plan spreadsheet file includes an Annual Plan template tab and a Long-Term Plan template tab. These template tabs are linked and may be used together or separately.
The Annual Plan tab provides a clear view of your annual income, expense, investments and cash flow, as well as your change in assets, liabilities and net worth. Summary graphs enable you to see at a glance your cash flow and net worth for the year.
The Long-Term Plan tab provides a line per year view of your incomes (employment, business, pensions, investment), expense, taxes, savings, investments, retirement plans, cash flow, assets, liabilities and net worth. Net worth and cash flow summary graphs enable you to see your financial goals taking shape over time and to easily compare the long term impact of different financial decisions.
All plans include two full plan sets, one which is a a fully completed realistic example for your reference, and one which is blank and ready for you to start preparing your own personalized plan.
How do the different plan editions compare?
The Easy Budget Plan includes a 2 page Annual Plan. It does not include a Long-Term Plan.
The Basic Financial Plan includes a 4 page Annual Plan and a 4 page Long-Term plan. This is the simplest and easiest plan suited for anyone.
The Personal Financial Plan includes a 6 page Annual Plan and a 6 page Long-Term plan. This balanced plan is intended for individuals.
The Family Financial Plan includes a 8 page Annual Plan and a 8 page Long-Term plan. This balanced plan is intended for couples or families.
The Advanced Financial Plan includes a 8 page Annual Plan and a 16 page Long-Term plan. This plan is very detailed but not as easy to use. It supports more advanced features including more/different types of investments, retirement plans, and more detailed tax calculations.
How do I make my personalized financial plan?
The RealMoneyPlan Financial Plan Templates are easy to use, just follow the guidance of the free RealMoneyPlan User Guides.
The templates have been purposely designed so that you only need a basic understanding of Excel spreadsheets to use the templates. The templates are also very easily modified to your individual needs.
What is included in my purchase?
Your purchase of any financial plan template includes:
- RealMoneyPlan Financial Plan Template – a spreadsheet file (.xlsx) which includes the Annual Plan and Long-Term Plan sets (an example set for reference and a blank set for you to use),
- RealMoneyPlan Financial Plan User Guide – a document file (.pdf) which provides step-by-step guidance for preparing your plan.
How do I get the files?
Obtain your copy of the RealMoneyPlan Financial Plan Template by clicking on the Add To Cart button on the product page, checking out, and completing your payment. Immediately following your payment you will receive an email from RealMoneyPlan with your order details and a download link.
Alternatively, if you made an account during checkout you may also login to your account and download the file from there. If you checked out as a guest, no problem, you may make an account afterwards by using the same email address used during checkout, and then you can login to your account and download the file.
In the email sent to you or in your account, click on the link to download the zip file to your computer. Find the zip file on your computer (usually in your Downloads folder) and extract the files to a folder. Then open the Excel spreadsheet file with Microsoft Excel. Open the User Guide with Adobe Reader or any browser like Chrome or Firefox. Before doing anything with the excel spreadsheet file make a copy of it for backup.
What about making copies and copyright?
Persons who purchase RealMoneyPlan spreadsheet templates directly from RealMoneyPlan are permitted to use, edit or duplicate the spreadsheet templates for their own individual personal use.
